The desk
One screen for the organiser: who is here, who is on court, who is resting, and the next round ready to lock in. Every organiser at the club can run it from their own phone or laptop.
Draft wording, pending review by the owner. Not yet final.
From the first check-in to the last round, Minton does the organising so the organiser can play too.
One screen for the organiser: who is here, who is on court, who is resting, and the next round ready to lock in. Every organiser at the club can run it from their own phone or laptop.
A live board for everyone else, on the big screen or any phone: each court and who is on it, who is resting, and how long the round has left. No app to install.
Players scan the poster at the door and check themselves in, or the organiser ticks them off. Late arrivals join the next round.
Rounds are drawn for you, balancing games played, rests in a row and who has already partnered whom, so no one rests twice while others play on.
Players are matched with others near their grade. New players can be graded on the night in grading matches, and a player can ask to play down a grade.
Two players can ask to play together all night; every round keeps them together, at the right grade for both.
Set the night up in advance: it starts on its own at the right time with the courts you chose, and ends when the hall empties.
A club can invite a player to link their email, giving them one sign-in across every club they play at, and a page of their own to see and delete what's held about them. Signing in is optional: anyone can still turn up and play.
