Checking players in from the desk

Ticking players in, adding a new player, Check out and Check back in, and the check-in exclusion across clubs.

Ticking players in

Type a name in the desk's check-in box and tap Check in beside the player. Players can do the same themselves on the board, which is the same list. A player checked in by mistake, who hasn't played yet, has a ✕ to remove the check-in entirely.

Adding a new player

A name that isn't on the roster offers New Player: first name, last name, grade, and optionally an email and phone number only organisers see. A player who adds themselves on the board has no grade yet; the desk's bell asks you to set one, and they rest until you do.

Check out and Check back in

Check out marks a player as gone home: they're left out of every round from then on, and any fixed-partner pairing ends. Check back in undoes it, keeping their games and rests. Neither changes a round already in play.

The check-in exclusion

A player who has linked their email can be checked in at only one club at a time. If they are checked in elsewhere, the desk says so; if that was more than four hours ago the check-in goes ahead and checks them out there, otherwise you choose Check in here anyway or leave it.
