Rests and leavers on the desk

Setting a rest for someone, marking someone as gone, and how each affects the next draw.

Setting a rest

Find the player in the check-in list and tap Rest. They rest the next round drawn, then the rest clears itself. Un-rest cancels it before the round starts. A player seated on the draft who is marked to rest gives their seat to someone resting, and the bell tells you who took it.

Marking someone as gone

Tap Check out. They're left out of every round from now on; a fixed-partner pairing they had ends, and the bell tells you. On a draft, their seat is refilled from the resting list. If they come back, Check back in restores them with their games and rests intact.

How each affects the next draw

A rest counts as a rest for fairness: a player who rested is protected from resting again next round. A player who has checked out isn't drawn at all. Neither touches the round in play, and a round already live is only changed by a swap or a Re-draw.
