Fixed partners and play-down requests
Answering partner and play-down requests from the bell, and dissolving a pairing.
Partner requests
A player who asks for a fixed partner on the board shows in the desk's bell. The player asked can accept on the board; you can Approve or Cancel it from the bell instead. You can also pair any two checked-in players yourself from the check-in list. Before a pairing drops someone to their partner's grade, the desk says so and asks you to confirm.
Play-down requests
A request to play one grade down shows in the bell with Approve and Decline. Approving sets the player's grade for tonight only; the board tells them either way. You can also set, or clear, a player's grade for tonight from the check-in list without a request.
Dissolving a pairing
Tap Un-pair beside either partner. A pairing also ends on its own when either partner checks out. The demoted partner is back on their own grade from the next round drawn.
