Gradings

What a grading is, who can be picked, how to enter and correct scores on the board, and how the result moves grades.

What a grading is

A grading tests four players of one grade against each other on one court: three games to 15, each player partnering each of the other three once. It runs on its own court, alongside the normal rounds, on its own time. The board shows it with a coloured Grading ribbon.

Who can be picked

The organiser sets a grading up and the four are picked at random from the players checked in on that grade who aren't paired with a fixed partner, haven't opted out, and haven't had a grading tonight. One grading per player per night.

Entering scores

On the grading's court card, tick Won beside the team that won — they get 15 — then pick the losers' points from the dropdown in the other team's row. That pick saves the score, and the card steps to the next game. A saved game is locked; tap Edit to correct it. The organiser can also correct a score on the desk until the result is confirmed.

The result

Once all three scores are in, the card shows the standings and who moves. The organiser confirms the result, and the grade changes take effect from the next round drawn. See how a grading result moves grades.

Opting out

Happy where you are? Open the ⋯ menu beside your name and tap Skip Gradings. You stay on your grade and are never picked. Join Gradings puts you back in. Opting out lasts across nights, until you join again or the organiser changes your grade.
